وَإِذۡ تَقُولُ لِلَّذِيٓ أَنۡعَمَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيۡهِ وَأَنۡعَمۡتَ عَلَيۡهِ أَمۡسِكۡ عَلَيۡكَ زَوۡجَكَ وَٱتَّقِ ٱللَّهَ وَتُخۡفِي فِي نَفۡسِكَ مَا ٱللَّهُ مُبۡدِيهِ وَتَخۡشَى ٱلنَّاسَ وَٱللَّهُ أَحَقُّ أَن تَخۡشَىٰهُۖ فَلَمَّا قَضَىٰ زَيۡدٞ مِّنۡهَا وَطَرٗا زَوَّجۡنَٰكَهَا لِكَيۡ لَا يَكُونَ عَلَى ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ حَرَجٞ فِيٓ أَزۡوَٰجِ أَدۡعِيَآئِهِمۡ إِذَا قَضَوۡاْ مِنۡهُنَّ وَطَرٗاۚ وَكَانَ أَمۡرُ ٱللَّهِ مَفۡعُولٗا
And [remember, O Prophet] when you were saying to the one[30] who was favored by Allah[31] and favored by you[32], “Keep your wife and fear Allah.” You were concealing in your heart what Allah was going to reveal[33], and you were fearing people[34], while it was more fitting that you should fear Allah[35]. When Zayd no longer had desire for her, We gave her to you in marriage, so that there would be no restraint for the believers in marrying the ex-wives of their adopted sons when they no longer have desire for them. And Allah’s decree is bound to be fulfilled. (Rowwad Translation)
Y (recuerda, ¡oh, Muhammad!) cuando dijiste a quien Al-lah agració (guiándolo al islam) y a quien tú favoreciste (liberándolo de la esclavitud y educándolo como a un hijo)[808]: «No divorcies a tu esposa y teme a Al-lah». Y escondiste en tu interior lo que Al-lah iba a manifestar (tu futuro matrimonio con ella), y temías lo que la gente diría, cuando Al-lah es más digno de ser temido. Y cuando Zaid se hubo divorciado de ella, te la dimos a ti como esposa para que los creyentes supieran que no incurren en falta alguna si se casan con las esposas de sus hijos adoptivos tras haberse divorciado estos de ellas. Y lo que Al-lah ordena debe cumplirse. (Noor International)
(Souviens-toi, Muhammad) quand tu disais à celui qu’Allah a comblé de Ses faveurs, et que tu as aussi comblé des tiennes : « Garde auprès de toi ton épouse et crains Allah ! » Tu cachais alors en toi-même ce qu’Allah allait dévoiler. Tu craignais les hommes alors qu’Allah est plus digne que tu Le craignes. Lorsque Zeyd eut mis fin à tout rapport avec elle, Nous te la donnâmes comme épouse, afin que les croyants n’aient plus à s’embarrasser d’épouser les femmes de leurs fils adoptifs, une fois que ces derniers cessent tout rapport avec elles. L’arrêt d’Allah doit être ainsi accompli. (Noor International)
तथा (ऐ नबी!) आप (वह समय याद करें) जब आप उस व्यक्ति से, जिसपर अल्लाह ने उपकार किया तथा जिसपर आपने (भी) उपकार किया था, कह रहे थे : अपनी पत्नी को अपने पास रोके रखो तथा अल्लाह से डरो। और आप अपने मन में वह बात छिपा रहे थे, जिसे अल्लाह प्रकट करने वाला[24] था। तथा आप लोगों से डर रहे थे, हालाँकि अल्लाह अधिक योग्य है कि आप उससे डरें। फिर जब ज़ैद ने उस (स्त्री) से अपनी आवश्यकता पूरी कर ली, तो हमने आपसे उसका विवाह कर दिया, ताकि ईमान वालों पर अपने मुँह बोले (लेपालक) बेटों की पत्नियों के विषय[25] में कोई तंगी न रहे, जब वे उनसे अपनी आवश्यकता पूरी कर लें। तथा अल्लाह का आदेश तो पूरा होकर ही रहता है। (Al-Umary)
当时，你对那安拉曾施以恩惠，你也曾施以恩惠的人说：“你应当挽留你的妻子，你应当敬畏安拉。”你把安拉所欲昭示的，隐藏在你的心中，安拉是更应当为你所畏惧的，你却畏惧众人。当宰德离弃她的时候，我以她为你的妻子，以免信士们为他们的义子所离弃的妻子而感觉烦难。安拉的命令是必须奉行的。 (Makin)
